Born on 19 February 1630, Maharaj Shivaji Shahaji Bhonsale was an Indian Maratha ruler, formally crowned the Chhatrapati of his realm at Raigad Fort. He implemented innovative administrative reforms, invented various military strategies, including guerrilla warfare tactics and fostered art and culture.
